2. Images and “creative”

You know the classic expression, “a photo is worth a thousand words.” If used correctly then images can be powerful. Images have the power to reinforce words and/or speak by themselves. This is true whether it is a photo or a graphically designed image.

You can use images in blog posts, website pages, social media posts, advertisements, etc.

3. Infographics

Infographics are images that deliver a large amount of information in an easy-to-digest, visual format. They are a combination of the important information of a written piece of content and the visual appeal of an image.

Infographics are a great way to repurpose the info from your blog posts and articles. They take the same info and shift it into a different format.

4. Videos

video content

If images are worth a thousand words then video can tell the entire story.

Video is a broad category of content. It includes many types of video content, including video tutorials, interviews, brand (promotional) videos, social videos, live videos, events, etc.

Video has gained popularity, especially with the continued growth of social channels like YouTube and TikTok as well as both recorded and live events on platforms like Instagram, Linkedin, Facebook, etc.

Videos that grab your target audience’s attention and compel them to watch what you have to tell them are an amazing form of content.

You can house your videos on a platform like YouTube, Vimeo or others so it gets found. Or you can host it on your website.

Videos can easily be shared on social media, websites, in emails, and more.

5. Lead magnets

Lead magnets are a popular tool that are used for lead generation and nurturing. They include a wide range of content types from e-books, guides, courses, etc. It is basically anything of value that a prospect will trade their email address or other info for. You would generally ask a prospect to provide their information in order to download the lead magnet. In turn, the lead magnet has to have enough value for the person to download it.

Our Free Google My Business Optimization Video Course is an example of a lead magnet. Our Free Local SEO Audit is another.

6. Social Content

What is social content? Its any content you create and share or make available on social media channels. This could be graphics, videos, live videos, blog posts, etc.

7. Podcasts

Podcasts are recordings (recorded shows, interviews, news, etc.). They cover a very wide variety of topics, including basically anything you can think of.

Podcasts have been around for a while. While their popularity has gone up and down over the years they are surely trending upwards as of late. According to an article by Forbes, “Podcast adoption continues to grow with more and more listeners and marketers allocating a greater amount of the media budget on the audio platform.” They also referenced the Infinite Dial survey from Edison One and Triton Digital that stated 37% of Americans (age 12+) listen to at least one podcast a month. This has grown vs. 32% in 2019.

The short story is that podcast popularity is growing.

Podcasts are also a great way to repurpose content. For example, blog posts can be turned into a podcast episode, and vice versa.
